How to Join
When you click on the “Register” link to the right, you will go to a page that looks like the picture below and to the right. (This is a small example of what you will see when you get to that page. Click on the
picture to make it bigger. Use your browser back button to get back here.)
If you follow these clarifications closely you should have no problems getting through the registration process.
- Username – Think of it as your Nickname. You can chose any name you like. You’ll use it when you login to PhawknPicks.com to make your picks. It’s also the Nickname that others on PhawknPicks will know you as. The Username will show up on the View Picks/Results page.
- The next line is for your e-mail address; where you want to receive correspondence from PhawknPicks.com.
- Invitation Code – When you paid PhawknPicks.com your were given an Invitation Code. If you paid with PayPal it is in your confirmation e-mail. (I’ve been told it may not be obvious that it is the activation code, but it is there.) If you paid cash it was given to you by the person you paid. If you paid by check it will be sent to you via e-mail. You need an Invitation Code to register. You will enter it here and again on the bottom of the form. It is deleted when we see you have registered.
- Game You Are Playing - There may be more than one game to select from so please chose carefully.
- First and Last Name – Your real first and last names. Neither is public. It’s primarily an internal ID thing. If you’re not sure what to enter here please ask somebody that knows you. We’ll put this name on the check if you are fortunate enough to be the pool winner.
- Our crack legal team informed us that you must affirm that you have read, understand and agree to the rules. Please check the little box and keep the lawyers happy.
- Password – You choose your own login password for PhawknPicks.com. Make it something you can remember but hard for someone else to guess. There is a “Password Strength Meter” that indicates a good or bad password. We don’t really care if your password is good or bad, but it does have to be at least six (6) characters long, numbers and letters only. Then confirm your password in the next line. Don’t lose your password! The website can reset your password but your initial “Welcome” email from PhawknPicks has your original password in it.
- Invitation Code – I told you this was coming again. It’s the same invitation code you entered earlier.
- If you have paid for more than one Nickname you must go through this procedure for each Nickname.
- Register – When it’s all ready, use your mouse and click on the Register button.
